Leigh Kirby is a highly experienced management consultant with a focus on Sales/Marketing, CRM, Sales Automation and Strategic Planning. During the last fifteen years he has successfully implemented over one hundred highly targeted business development projects. Many of his assignments have been with Courier, Air Freight Forwarding, International Mail, Trucking and Logistics companies.
He is currently the Project Manager for an enterprise level software implementation program with the United States Council for International Business (USCIB.org) and the International Chamber of Commerce USA Books division. Leigh is also a frequent content contributor to Forward Magazine, the official publication of the AirForwarders Association.
Soon after graduating from Lehigh University, Leigh spent 8 years as a Regional Sales Manager with FedEx. He left FedEx to launch a unique courier service concept that rapidly grew to over 8 million dollars in sales and over 100 employees. He negotiated two mergers, secured venture capital financing and took CitiPostal Express public.
After merging the company with a larger competitor, Leigh stayed on for a time as a consultant and then established an expanded consulting practice. His focus has always been on small to mid-sized Transportation/Logistics companies but has also completed assignments within a variety of other business sectors.
In 2000, Leigh brought together a network of specialized strategic partners and created Perspectives Unlimited. This firm assists with a wide assortment of Sales/Marketing and other mission critical initiatives, often in conjunction with CRM implementations.
Sales Automation Group:
Also In 2000, Leigh became a contract consultant and CRM project manager with Sales Automation Group (www.SalesAutomationGroup.com). This firm supports the licensing and technical requirements of many CRM software products and sales automation applications. Leigh maintains his role as an independent consultant and does not sell any specific software products.
